Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially hiring 4 people. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. Throughout five years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is amongst the top global producers within the material handling trade.

Design and production of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively pursue better business opportunities. Throughout the last sixty years, the business of material handling has grown into a very complex area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its improvement. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, fabricating and promoting hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was completed in 1956 on a brand new facility in order to house all the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. After 15 years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

1959 in Springfield, Ohio a second production plant was built. 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry while the company established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. with areas in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade merchandise are fabricated internationally because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is designed to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 after buying five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in forks.
